For the children that have summer birthdays I thought it would be a good idea to let them celebrate at school. You can do pizza, cupcakes, etc. Just let me know by Monday. Thanks

Details for AR Pool Party

I have only received 5 permission forms for the party. They were due today. If we do not receive them by tomorrow I will assume your child will not be attending. If for some reason you have lost or missed placed it please come in the office in the morning and see Mrs. Jordan to sign the form.

They will begin busing children to the pool at 9:00am. Mrs. Jordan says first grade will probably be leaving school around 9:15 and returning around 11ish. If you are planning on attending, your child can ride with you or you can just meet us there. Mrs. Jordan will be serving pizza, cupcakes, and drinks so there will be no need to send lunch with your child on Monday just a snack. Please have your child already dressed in their swimsuits. They should bring a towel and a change of clothes for when we return.

End of the Year Party

The parents that are making the arrangements for refreshments at the end of the year party is asking each student to bring $2 to help with purchasing pizza. If you would like to bring any treats that is fine. If you would like to help out in any way please contact Laura Leigh Sikes at lauraleighsikes@yahoo.com. Thanks!

The party is Wednesday, May 20th at Xtreme Athletics from 10:00-12:00.

I will not be here on Friday (the last day of school) due to personal reasons. The school will dismiss at 10am....if your child is coming to school that day I will either have a sub or they will be sent to Mrs Hollis' room. I hate that I will miss the last day but we will have plenty of opportunities to celebrate this incredible year before the end. I would like to say I feel beyond blessed to have had your children as my first class. Thank you to everyone that supported, encouraged, uplifted, and offered a helping hand when I needed it.  This being my first year teaching, I have definitely learned a lot and know I made a few mistakes but I am so grateful for your patience and again your support as I was figuring it all out. I would not have made it through the year without some of you! The Lord creates our paths and I know he put PLAS in mine for a reason. This is an incredible school with wonderful students and parents. I wish the best for all your kiddos and hope to stay in touch. :)

The Field Trip to Landmark Park is this Thursday. I will be posting more information later.

Permission forms and information for the AR Pool Party will be sent home tomorrow. Since this is the first year the children did AR, they will all be able to attend the party. I will be there and parents are welcome to attend.  If you do not feel comfortable with your child going to the pool party, they will be able to stay at school, please notify me as soon as possible if you do not want your child to go.

Thanks! :)
